     Antonio Cruz scored the winning basket with 12 second remaining to give Puerto Rico its first International championship since 1993, as Arecibo fended off a late comeback by St. Rocco.
     Miguel Sanchez led Arecibo with 14 points, while Xavier Sanchez added eight points and Cruz seven.
     St. Rocco, which rallied to take a lead in the final 25 seconds, was led by Rashon Dwight with a game-high 19 points. Altaria Wagner and Darrell Lampley each added eight points.

Highwood (Ill.) Heat 37, Newark Project Pride 28

     The Heat jumped to a 19-6 first-quarter lead en route to its second straight third-place trophy. Marcus Pettis scored 15 and Zac Meuser seven to lead the Heat, while Newark was led by Pedro Rosario and Terrell Myers with seven each.

13th FRIENDSHIP CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Team ROC, New York 34, Highwood (Ill.) Hurricanes 27

     Team ROC overcame an early 8-0 deficit to capture the Friendship crown, as Richard Gaynor led the winners with 11 points and Maurice Lloyd tossed in eight. The Canes were paced by Ryan Kennedy (seven points) and Jimmy Risi (six).

13th FRIENDSHIP THIRD-PLACE GAME
Carolina Balom 42, Chicago Spirit Gray 32

     Luis Santiago and Edwin Kuilan each scored eight points and Samuel Garcia added seven to pace Balom in the third-place contest. Spirit Gray, which trailed 12-5 after one quarter, got 10 points from Martese Alford and six from Kioti Washington and Fred Choice.
